Job Description

Overall Objective

As a Teacher, you will play a key role in providing our young with an enriched learning experience, nurturing their social skills and preparing them for lifelong learning.
To support the development and implementation of the curriculum that integrates moral education, promoting values such as respect, empathy, responsibility, and integrity in line with PERTAPIS Community Service's mission.
You will plan and deliver education programmes in order to help foster holistic learning and development for the children and be involved in parent and community engagement.
To conduct lessons as required by the centres.
To ensure the smooth running of the centres by working closely with the teaching and administrative task.

Teaching and Learning Functions

To review and standardize the syllabus of the centres and ensure that it is in line with the requirements of IECP, that the standard allows for students to continue pursuing in Islamic studies beyond secondary level and apply what they have learnt, and the depth is manageable for our students who are learning part time.
To review teaching materials and assess their suitability and make recommendations on teaching tools that will make learning more effective.
To vet exam papers and ensure they are accurate and appropriate.
To observe lessons conducted by teachers, make assessments and recommendations for the co-learning of best practices and continuous improvement.

Administrative and Operational Functions

To work closely with the Centre Supervisors and Administrative Officer on the operational and administrative matters of the centres.
To liaise between the centres and Head Office in matters that require management approval and to provide regular updates.
To provide regular updates, to be creative and make recommendations to improve enrolment and centre operations.

Corporate Functions

To support PERTAPIS events such as fundraising and community projects.
To carry out any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Manager and Higher Management.

Job Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Islamic Studies
Asatizah Recognition Scheme (ARS) Certified
Able to work weekends and willing to travel across centres
Pleasant personality, strong communication & written skills and matured

Please note this is a Contract For Service (CFS).

$20-$25 per hourly rate accordance to experience, qualifications and certifications. Depending on hours worked, monthly salary ranges from $200 - $1200.
