Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for up to 4 classes of Mathematics for either the JC1 or JC2 level.
- Work in teams on content development, assessment & standards, and remediation & enrichment.
- Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students
- Evaluate and provide feedback on students performance via assignments and assessments
- Monitor students social development through counselling and working with parents
- Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students
- In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events
- Any other duties assigned by the School
Job Requirements
- A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
- A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is preferred
- Passion to teach the age group of students from 17 to 18 years old
- Comfortable with classroom and student management
- Willing to work in teams and should possess a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good team player
This is a 2-year contract (renewable)
