About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tax Operations Vice President to join our client's Private Banking / Wealth Management division. This is an individual contributor role ideal for someone who thrives in a high-precision, regulatory-driven environment and enjoys partnering with global teams to ensure seamless tax reporting and compliance for high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end tax operations processes covering client investment accounts, corporate actions, and cross-border transactions.
- Ensure full compliance with international, regional, and local tax regulations (e.g., FATCA, CRS, QI, W-8/W-9).
- Lead the preparation, validation, and submission of periodic tax reports and filings.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess operational impacts, ensuring timely updates to processes and controls.
- Partner with Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Front Office teams to provide tax-related insights and resolve complex issues.
- Conduct tax risk assessments and support internal/external audits.
- Maintain strong documentation and establish robust control frameworks to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Tax Operations, preferably within Private Banking or Wealth Management.
- Strong understanding of global tax frameworks (FATCA, CRS, QI regulations).
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
