Job Summary
The Tax Manager will lead WSPN's global tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities, ensuring regulatory readiness and supporting sustainable international business growth. You will collaborate with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external advisors to optimize tax efficiency and maintain full compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Manage corporate tax, withholding tax, GST/VAT, and other indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities
- Oversee the timely preparation and accurate submission of tax filings, returns, and statutory reports to meet regulatory deadlines
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities in various countries to facilitate audits, inquiries, and regulatory reviews
- Support the development and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with intercompany transaction regulations
- Monitor and assess the impact of changes in international tax regulations on business operations and advise relevant stakeholders accordingly
- Provide tax advisory support for business expansion initiatives, new product launches, and cross-border transactions to optimize tax outcomes
- Review contracts and business structures from a tax perspective to identify risks and opportunities for tax efficiency
- Establish and continuously improve internal tax policies, processes, and controls to enhance compliance and operational effectiveness
- Support group-wide tax planning and optimization initiatives to align with strategic business objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related disciplines
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant tax experience, preferably within multinational companies, fintech, or financial services sectors
- Experience working with multiple jurisdictions including Singapore, EU, UK, US, and APAC regions
- Familiarity with regulatory environments related to payments, Electronic Money Institutions (EMI), or digital assets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills demonstrated through independent work in fast-paced, growing environments
- Proficiency in English Mandarin language skills are an advantage
