About the Role Indirect Tax Analyst (APAC)
This is an exciting opportunity to join fast-growing APAC Regional Tax team based in Singapore and Sydney. The role is business-critical and supports expansion and operations across Australia, New Zealand, and/or the North Asia region.
You will be responsible for managing indirect tax compliance, tax audits, tax data analysis, supporting advisory work, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on new business initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage indirect tax initiatives across Australia, New Zealand, and/or North Asia.
- Support cross-functional teams in advising on tax implications for new products and services.
- Assist with the review and preparation of indirect tax returns.
- Provide support for special tax advisory projects and complex tax matters, including tax audits and litigation.
- Research indirect and direct tax issues and present findings to management (written memos, reports, and presentations).
- Collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure proper tax governance and compliance.
- Ensure timely, accurate data reporting for tax compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in corporate tax, Big 4 firms, law firms, or industry (APAC experience preferred).
- Qualified CPA, Chartered Accountant, or Lawyer.
- Strong understanding of indirect tax concepts and experience preparing/reviewing indirect tax returns.
- Exposure to corporate tax, international tax, or APAC tax matters is preferred (not mandatory).
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
