Primary responsibilities:

  • To plan, organize, supervise and control the day to day operations.
  • Provide advice and assist on technical aspects of verification and to meet client's requirements.

Specific responsibilities:

Tank calibration:

  • To make site visits and review job specifications prior to quotation release on our services.
  • To assist in execution of Shore and Ship Tank Calibration.
  • To prepare and review reports prior to release.
  • To prepare/update both operational and safety procedures to ensure and stay relevant for fit of use at respective job sites.
  • To supervise and co-ordinate job scheduling, manpower control and resource allocation needed for job assignment.
  • Acceptance and issuance of job instructions and control of special operations.
  • To assist in the development of existing and new business through regular client contacts.
  • To upkeep of department equipment/assets.
  • To raise purchase requisition for equipment required.
  • To assist in the development and training of staff to required level of expertise.
  • Ensure that all operations are conducted within client's health and safety requirements.
  • To recognize that the department Quality system is fully implemented as per the QA Manual.
  • Perform any ad-hoc task that may be assigned from time to time.

  • All jobs done in accordance to SGS Standard Procedures and/or Local Procedures where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Equivalent the field of any Engineering discipline
  • Min. 2 years of working experience
  • Good computing skills and knowledge
  • Able to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal
  • Able to maintain highest quality standard all the time
  • Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
  • Able to interact with all levels of management, suppliers and clients
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Acts quickly and decisively; able to make tough calls
  • Works well under pressure, challenges status quo
  • Apply judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
  • Able to ensure that process flow and work delivery is accurate and timely
  • Able to give best customer care and services
  • In addition, an added advantage for candidate who possess one or more of the following skills as follows:

-Good computer knowledge in MS Office particularly Excel (Marco / VB)

-Laser Surveying knowledge (3D scanner, Total Station, Horizontal Level, etc.)

-Good to have Singapore class 3 driving license
