Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Tamil Enrichment Teachers to join our team, teaching Preschool (ages 3-6) and/or Primary (Primary 1-6) levels. The ideal candidates are nurturing educators with strong Tamil proficiency, a love for teaching, and creativity in engaging children through stories, drama, and play-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan (where needed) and deliver interactive and engaging lessons aligned with students developmental stages and learning goals
- For Preschool levels: Conduct play-based, story-driven, and activity-rich lessons to develop listening, speaking, and early literacy skills
- For Primary levels: Teach core components of the MOE syllabus - including reading, writing, comprehension, oral communication, and composition
- Design creative classroom activities, materials, and assessments to support joyful and effective learning
- Monitor students progress and provide constructive feedback to parents
- Maintain a caring, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages confidence and participation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine enrichment curriculum and teaching methods
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written Tamil
- Passionate about teaching and inspiring children to love the language
- Understanding of the MOE Primary Tamil curriculum (for Primary level teachers)
- Familiarity with early childhood pedagogy or creative teaching methods (for Preschool level teachers)
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Warm, patient, and nurturing approach towards young learners
- Relevant teaching experience preferred (in enrichment or MOE school settings)
- Diploma or Degree in Education, Tamil Language, Linguistics, or Early Childhood Education (preferred)
