Job Description
Responsibilities
- Administer Tableau Server environments across Dev, QA, and Production.
- Support Tableau Server upgrade planning, execution, validation, and post-upgrade activities.
- Manage users, groups, permissions, licenses, extracts, schedules, and published data sources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau Server issues across QA and Production environments.
- Execute and update existing regression and upgrade test cases.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for RHEL OS and middleware upgrades.
- Support CI/CD and deployment activities using GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Perform scripting and process automation using Python, Tableau REST APIs, TSC, or related tools.
- Validate dependent Control-M jobs during and after Tableau upgrades.
- Support BAU Tableau administration, monitoring, and production activities after upgrades.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Tableau Server administration.
- Experience performing Tableau Server upgrades in production environments.
- Good understanding of Tableau Server architecture, TSM services, logs, backup and restore, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Tableau Server on Linux/RHEL environments.
- Knowledge of Tableau Desktop/Server compatibility and enterprise deployment processes.
- Experience with Python scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of Tableau REST API, TSC, and tabcmd.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git/GitHub Enterprise, and Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD and release management.
- Exposure to Control-M or enterprise batch scheduling tools.
