Tableau BI Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking a Tableau BI Analyst with 1-3 years of hands-on experience in building dashboards, reports,and data visualisations. The role involves working closely with businessstakeholders to translate data requirements into actionable insights usingTableau and supporting data tools.

Key Responsibilities

. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableaudashboards and visualisations to support business decision-making.

. Connect to and extract data from multiple sourcesincluding SQL databases, flat files, cloud data warehouses, and APIs.

. Write and optimise SQL queries to prepare and validatedata for reporting.

. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements,define KPIs, and translate them into clear visual reports.

. Perform data validation, quality checks, andtroubleshooting of dashboard issues.

. Publish and manage dashboards on Tableau Server orTableau Cloud, including user access and scheduling.

. Maintain documentation for data sources, calculations,and dashboard logic.

. Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from variousdepartments.

Requirements

. 1-3 years of experience working with Tableau Desktopand Tableau Server/Cloud.

. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation,and analysis.

. Understanding of data modelling concepts,star/snowflake schemas, and relational databases.

. Ability to create calculated fields, parameters,filters, LOD expressions, and table calculations in Tableau.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills withattention to detail.

. Good communication skills with the ability to presentdata insights to non-technical audiences.

. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, InformationSystems, Statistics, or related field.

Added Advantage

. Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Talend,Informatica, SSIS, Apache NiFi, or Python-based ETL).

. Familiarity with data pipeline concepts includingextraction, transformation, loading, and scheduling.

. Hands-on experience with data warehousing platformssuch as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

. Exposure to other BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.

. Basic knowledge of Python or R for data manipulationand automation.
