Perform SAP system health checks and monitoring of critical components (application servers, database, background jobs, etc.), focusing on proactive issue resolution rather than basic operations.
Manage complex SAP user authorizations, roles, profiles, and security policies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Assist in SAP transport management, including coordinating transports across development, quality, and production systems.
Analyze and troubleshoot system logs, update queues, and spool requests to identify root causes of issues.
Support backup, restore, and system copy procedures in coordination with senior BASIS team members.
Participate in kernel updates, patch applications, and upgrades with minimal supervision.
Collaborate closely with ABAP, Functional, Security, and Infrastructure teams to resolve advanced technical issues.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, incidents, resolutions, and authorization designs.
Requirements:
1+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience with a focus on SAP Security/Technical Authorizations (not just user access).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
In-depth knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, roles, profiles, and user management best practices.
Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, transport management system (TMS), and client landscape concepts.
Experience with databases (HANA, Oracle) and operating systems (Linux, Windows) preferred.
Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with ability to handle advanced technical scenarios.
Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Prior experience primarily in operations-level tasks is not preferred focus on strategic/system-level SAP administration.
