Our client in the financial services are looking for an experienced Systems & Network Engineer to join their team and play a critical role in optimizing their IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and patch management.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco network switches, VLANs, trunking, and Layer 2/3 issues.
- Use SCCM for patching, OS imaging, software deployment, and ensuring compliance across endpoints.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and create reports to streamline operations.
- Oversee infrastructure vendors, handling procurement, SLA reviews, and contract renewals.
- Ensure alignment with MAS TRM guidelines and internal IT risk/governance standards.
- Work closely with InfoSec, Risk, and Compliance teams during audits.
- Support BCP/DR testing, infrastructure upgrades, and planned maintenance activities.
- Operate within an ITSM framework using tools such as ManageEngine, Freshworks, or Jira.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Windows system administration and enterprise networking.
- Strong knowledge of AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and server hardening best practices.
- Practical experience with Cisco switching and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on SCCM expertise (patching, OS deployment, compliance).
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes (ITIL certification a plus).
- Exposure to MAS TRM guidelines or IT governance in financial services is highly desirable.
- PowerShell scripting skills for automation and reporting.
- Knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
- Knowledge of AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC).
- Preferred certifications: MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, ITIL Foundation, AWS Cloud Practitioner.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
