Our client, a leading technology company in the engineering sector, is seeking a Systems / Infrastructure Engineer (VMware Specialist) to join their Singapore team. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading engineering IT infrastructure, including installing and managing critical tools and licenses. You will oversee system performance, monitor clusters and servers, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. The position involves developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating tasks through scripting, and managing cronjobs. You will collaborate with R&D teams to identify technical issues, provide timely IT solutions, and support compliance and security standards. Additionally, you'll contribute to building in-house tools, manage version control systems such as Git/Gerrit/Jenkins, and ensure IT security policies are consistently applied.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of IT infrastructure experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) - non-negotiable
• Solid background in Unix/Linux systems administration and shell scripting
• Experience with job schedulers (SGE/LSF) preferred
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gerrit, Git) and automation workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work with remote/global teams
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
