Systems Engineer

The Role

We are looking for aSystems Engineer to join the infrastructure engineering team in Singapore.

You will be responsible for designing, building and supporting high-performance Linux servers across global datacentres and offices. These systems are highly automated and finely tuned to meet the demands of a sophisticated global trading platform.

This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems, optimising system performance and working closely with engineers across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, diagnose and resolve complex Linux-based server issues
• Create, test, deploy and maintain packages, batch files and scripts within the operating system environment
• Identify opportunities to optimise infrastructure, reduce latency and improve efficiency
• Manage infrastructure configuration, changes and deployment requests
• Work closely with internal technology teams and external vendors to deliver effective technical solutions
• Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy and capacity planning
• Support the ongoing reliability and performance of production infrastructure
• Balance day-to-day production support with longer-term infrastructure projects

Key Requirements

• Years of experiencein Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience withLinux kernel tuning
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and network topology
• Strong scripting ability, particularly Python
• Experience with Kickstart, Ansible and Git
• Experience with BIOS configuration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, proactive and well organised
• Comfortable working in an environment with continually shifting priorities
• Ability to manage multiple projects while supporting production infrastructure and coordinating with multiple teams and vendors
