Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Systems Engineer to maintain and support our Linux-based production systems. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, perform deployments, and provide first-level support for production issues. This role includes participation in stand-by support work to maintain operational continuity.

Responsibilities

. Provide Level 1 support for system-related production issues and escalate as needed.

. Travel to sites for system configuration, software deployment, and patch updates.

. Perform regular system health checks and preventive maintenance.

. Conduct basic functional tests using provided tools to validate successful deployments.

. Collaborate with software engineers to perform initial troubleshooting and analysis and reporting for incidents.

. Maintain accurate documentation of system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Preferred Skillset

. Strong understanding of Linux environments and command-line operations.

. Basic knowledge of software deployment processes and Linux network configuration.

. Prior experience supporting production systems is an advantage.

. Familiarity with C++ or Java programming is a bonus.

. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
