Systematic Trading Operations Analyst

My client is a leading systematic trading firm that is expanding its global trading operations function and is looking to hire a Systematic Trading Operations Analyst.

The role sits at the intersection of trading, risk and technology, providing real-time oversight of trading activity across global markets. You'll work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, developers and other internal teams to ensure strategies and trading processes operate smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor live trading activity, exposures, P&L and risk metrics across multiple strategies and markets
• Identify and escalate trading or operational issues, taking appropriate action where required
• Support the day-to-day operation of systematic strategies, including troubleshooting and restarting processes when necessary
• Execute hedging, booking and other trading-related tasks in line with established procedures
• Respond to incidents and time-sensitive requests from trading and technology teams
• Support new products, markets and trading initiatives as the platform expands
• Assist with position rolls, option expiries, corporate actions and other trading lifecycle events
• Develop and improve Python-based tools to automate monitoring, reporting and operational workflows
• Work with teams globally to identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency

What they're looking for:

• 2-5 years of experience in trading, trading operations, market risk or a related role within a financial markets environment
• Strong understanding of financial markets and trading processes
• Good Python programming skills; experience with KDB/Q would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where decisions can be time-sensitive
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teams across different regions
• Quantitative degree or equivalent technical background preferred
