Responsible for providing independent system level and software level safety and assurance governance to ensure that systems are safe, reliable, available, maintainable, and compliant with contractual, regulatory, and Authority requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead system and software safety activities across the full system lifecycle As subject matter expert in System / Software Safety, provide support to operational teams in System / Software Safety requirements for system / product / solution offered by company.
- Develop and maintain System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP) and Software SSPP
- Identify, analyse, assess, mitigate, and track system and software hazards to closure
- Lead project engineers in Hazard Identification and conduct Hazard Analyses, Functional Hazard Assessment, develop mitigation measures to address hazards identified.
- Maintain and control the Hazard Log, including residual risk acceptance
- Perform risk classification and safety criticality assessment
- Ensure risk mitigation follows the design order of precedence
- Execute System Assurance (SA) activities in accordance with contractual requirements
- Define, manage, and demonstrate compliance to RAMS objectives
(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)
- Perform and review RAM and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) related analyses (e.g. FMECA, reliability, availability, maintainability)
- Provide support to address ILS requirements for product/system/solution offered by the company.
- Generate related ILS and RAM documentation
- Manage FRACAS and corrective actions
- Plan and conduct Safety & RAM Verification and Validation (V&V)
- Prepare and approve safety deliverables (e.g. Safety Assessment Report(SAR), Software Safety Assessment Report (SwSAR), RAMS, V&V reports)
- Support Authority reviews, audits, and safety boards
- Interface with Engineering, QA, and Project teams while maintaining independent safety judgement
- Attend review meetings and System Safety Board / Forum to clear all System Safety issues as well as related RAM/ILS.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Systems, or equivalent)
- 3–5 years experience in System Safety, Software Safety, or System Assurance (RAMS)
- Working knowledge of hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety lifecycle processes
- Familiarity with SSPP / Software SSPP, RAMS concepts, and safety deliverables (e.g. SAR, SwSAR)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
