System Quality Program Manager

What a System Quality Program Manager does at HP:

• Ensures correct execution of established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code for end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet- based platforms identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.

• Conducts functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate software functionality.

• Automates testing processes using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and repeatability.

• Monitors and enforces adherence to established coding standards, design guidelines, and best practices.

• Monitors software performance and conducts load and stress testing to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.

• Prepares and maintains QA-related documentation, including test plans, test matrices, and testing reports.

• Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software applications design and development.

• Participates as a member of project team of other software quality assurance engineers to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.

• Supports priority projects with direction, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and sharing information via standardized reports.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

• Typically has 0-1 years of work experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses and QA focused tools, or a related field.

• Good to have skills: Program Management, Test Planning, JIRA, Agile Methodology, Automation, Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, Software Quality (SQA/SQC), Software Testing.
