System Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production Linux servers to ensure high system stability and availability.

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of user accounts for VPNs, servers, and related systems, including application provisioning, permission adjustments, revocation, and daily administration.

• Collaborate closely with the development team to handle service deployments, configuration changes, log analysis, and the resolution of live system issues.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages to streamline routine tasks such as system inspections, deployments, and account management.

• Leverage AI tools to assist in the development and continuous improvement of internal IT operations tools, including monitoring, account management, and log analysis systems.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of the Linux operating system and common command-line utilities, with hands-on experience in daily server maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with standard IT services (e.g., SSH, Nginx, VPN) along with foundational knowledge of network and system security.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Shell, Python) with the ability to write automation scripts for daily operational tasks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and pinpoint issues effectively using system logs and performance metrics.

• Familiarity with AI tools, capable of utilizing AI to assist in script writing, debugging, and developing simple IT operations systems.

• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is required to effectively communicate and collaborate with Mandarin-speaking technical teams and internal stakeholders.
