System Migration Analyst

Job Summary

Supports the planning and execution of system migration activities, including data migration, parallel run, and cutover, so that thetransition from the legacy environment to the new system is accurate,controlled, and with minimal disruption to operations.

Responsibilities

• Support data migration from legacy to target systems using Fivetran by configuring and monitoring data pipelines for synchronization
• Execute migration rehearsals and reconcile source and target data to ensure accuracy
• Document migration pipelines, mapping rules, and reconciliation outcomes for transparency and auditability
• Operate legacy and new systems concurrently during parallel runs to compare outputs and identify discrepancies
• Log and track issues with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to resolution during parallel runs
• Report parallel run results and system readiness to project stakeholders
• Assist in developing and executing cutover plans, including runbooks, task sequencing, and rollback procedures
• Participate in cutover rehearsals and tabletop exercises to validate readiness
• Coordinate cutover tasks among technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions
• Support go-live checks, post-cutover validation, and hypercare to stabilize new systems
• Assist in migration planning by tracking scope, schedule, dependencies, and risks
• Support SIT, UAT, and pre-production testing related to migration activities
• Track and report migration issues, risks, and progress in regular status meetings
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure environment readiness

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or arelated field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-6 years of experience in system migration, applicationsupport, or IT project delivery
• Hands-on experience with data migration, data validation,and reconciliation
• Experience with Fivetran (preferred) or similar dataintegration tools
• Experience supporting cutover, go-live, or parallel runactivities
• Working knowledge of SQL and databases (e.g. Db2,PostgreSQL)
• Preferred: ITIL 4 Foundation, PMP/PRINCE2, or cloudcertifications (e.g. AWS)

Skills

• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
• Hands-on knowledge of Fivetran (connectors, sync monitoring,schema handling, and transformations)
• Scripting knowledge (e.g. Bash, Python, Java) for datahandling and automation
• Working knowledge of cloud and infrastructure environments(AWS, Linux)
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to track andreconcile large volumes of data
• Clear communication and coordination with technical andbusiness teams
• Able to work under pressure during cutover windows
