System Engineer - Endpoint Security

1. Endpoint Security Operations

Monitor and manage endpoint security platforms such as Trellix ENS, IVX, ATD, and VMware Carbon Black (EDR).

Ensure continuous protection, threat detection, and policy enforcement across all endpoints.

Monitor agent health, DAT/signature updates, and system compliance across Windows and Linux environments.

2. Threat Detection & Incident Handling

Investigate endpoint security alerts including malware detections, ransomware activity, false positives, and suspicious behavior from EDR tools.

Perform initial triage using security logs, quarantine data, and endpoint alerts.

Escalate complex or high-risk incidents to SOC / Tier 2/3 teams for advanced analysis.

3. Windows Server Administration

Support administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments.

Assist with system performance monitoring, patch management, and troubleshooting server-related issues.

Ensure server security alignment with endpoint protection standards.

4. Endpoint Protection & Policy Management

Manage and support endpoint protection solutions, including antivirus, firewall, and threat prevention policies.

Assist in deploying patches, updates, and configuration changes across enterprise systems.

Ensure compliance with organizational security baselines and best practices.

5. User Support & Incident Response

Provide technical support for endpoint security and EDR-related issues faced by IT operations and end users.

Handle security incidents following SOPs and ensure timely resolution within SLA.

Support malware removal, device recovery, and remediation activities.

6. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Maintain documentation for SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and incident resolution steps.

Identify recurring security issues and recommend improvements to strengthen endpoint defence.

Contribute to continuous improvement of security operations processes.

7. Preferred Skills / Certifications

CISSP certification is highly preferred (not mandatory).

Hands-on experience with VMware Carbon Black or other EDR tools is an advantage.
