System Engineer (Backend)

Job Summary

Candidate will construct a full ICT infrastructure stack and support application teams with system integration and maintenance, ensuring reliable and secure operations.

Candidate must have minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience.

Core Skills requirement

Candidate should have at least 5 or more skills required as stated below.

1. Configure and deploy virtual machines within AzureStack Hub Virtualisation Environment, including managing AzureStack services such as NSG, Load Balancer, Virtual Images, and Storage to support VM operations

2. Configure and administer Windows Server 2019 or 2016 environments, including Windows Domain Administration, Microsoft Failover Clustering, Windows RDS Architecture, Group Policy Objects (GPO), OS hardening, patching, and upgrading

3. Configure, upgrade, harden, and administer Microsoft SQL Server 2019, 2016, or 2017 databases.

4. Deploy and maintain Linux-based Virtual Appliances.

5. Deploy and maintain Ubuntu OS.

6. Configure and manage Commvault backup jobs to ensure data protection and recovery readiness

7. Design and implement network and network security solutions based on established concepts to safeguard infrastructure

8. Apply system security principles including SSL certificate management to maintain secure communications

Additional preferred competencies and qualifications

Candidate will also be planning and assisting in the upcoming system migration to the Kubernetes platform for project turnkey. The skills requirement are:

• Knowledge in DevOps operations
• Experience with Ansible automation tools

General Work Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and uptime
• On standby and to respond to system fault at site 24/7 and communication with useron the fault.
• Hands-on/ground-level work on VMs inDatacentre
• Analyze and propose system architecture and solutions aligned with system requirements to optimize infrastructure performance
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records and support knowledge sharing
