Job Summary
The System Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting Windows infrastructure, virtualization environments, and enterprise security systems; Ensures system stability through system administration, patch management, certificate management, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Must have experience in Windows Server 2019 and above;
- Have experience in Windows 10 administration;
- Required experience in Active Directory (AD) user administration and Group Policy (GPO) management;
- Required experience in VMware infrastructure ESXi 7U3 and above, vCenter, vSAN Stretch Cluster, NSX;
- Must have knowledge of Windows WSUS offline patching and manual catalogue import for security patch management;
- Required knowledge of SSL certificate management certificate renewal, keys, and cryptographic concepts;
- Experience with Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), SEPM, and Symantec LiveUpdate Administrator (LUA).
Desired Skill-set
- Splunk Enterprise for log monitoring and analysis;
- Kiwi Syslog Server and Syslog protocol for centralized log collection;
- Experience working with OEM vendors for troubleshooting and issue resolution;
- Knowledge of system security patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability management;
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, workstations, and Active Directory environments;
- Manage antivirus definitions, security patches, OS, software, and firmware upgrades;
- Perform SSL certificate renewal and management across all system components;
- Maintain and manage VMware virtualization infrastructure including ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX;
- Monitor and manage system logs using Splunk and Syslog tools;
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with OEM vendors for root cause analysis and resolution;
- Perform monthly preventive maintenance, system health checks, and reporting;
- Support system deployment and change activities during off-peak hours;
- Manage L1L3 incident tickets and service requests;
- Provide 24/7 Level 2 operational support based on a scheduled rotation.
