System Engineer

Job Scope:

Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day IT operations including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching.

Assist in after-hours support activities such as maintenance and upgrades when required.

Provide first-level and second-level support for system-related issues (Windows, AD, backup, storage).

Perform routine systems administration tasks such as system checks, log reviews, and patch deployments.

Assist in managing Active Directory, Windows servers, and virtualized environments (VMWare/Hyper-V).

Work with senior engineers or vendors to resolve escalated technical issues.

Help prepare basic reports and documentation for internal teams or clients.

Stay updated with system updates and security advisories. Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field.

1 to 3 years of hands-on IT infrastructure/system support experience.

Basic understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Virtualization technologies.

Exposure to backup systems and storage is a plus.

Familiarity with ITSM processes (e.g., incident/change/asset management) is an advantage.

Microsoft and/or ITIL certifications preferred but not required.

Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
