Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for military vehicle body systems such as hatches, access doors, internal fixtures, equipment mounts, and stowage modules.
Use Siemens NX to generate detailed 3D models, drawings, and design documentation in accordance with project and manufacturing requirements.
Integrate body system designs with hull structures and internal subsystems to ensure spatial compatibility, ergonomics, and maintainability.
Evaluate design feasibility, accessibility, and assembly considerations through cross-functional reviews and mock-up validation.
Support prototype fabrication, vehicle integration, and field trials of body system hardware.
Participate in design-to-cost, weight-reduction, and modularity enhancement initiatives for mechanical enclosures and crew-centric systems.
Explore redesign opportunities for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to improve part consolidation, weight savings, or ease of fabrication.
Collaborate with engineers from Materials, Manufacturing, and R&D to qualify AM components and integrate them into production platforms.
Apply DFMA principles and design best practices across the product development lifecycle.
