System Design Engineer (Hardware)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining system performance within required specification
• Become subject expert in subsystems such as automation, sensing
• Communicate and work with suppliers on requirements and ensure subsystem performance within required specification
• Responsible for system integration, test and characterization
• Responsible for system troubleshooting, new product introduction, and training to manufacturing engineers and technicians
• Document testing and diagnosis procedures to transfer the design to manufacturing
• Support manufacturing and field service team on system related escalations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years of working experience, or master's degree in mechanical/mechatronics engineering, or related disciplines
• Good hands-on experience in building/testing complex opto-mechanical systems or assemblies
• Solid understanding of working principles of instruments
• Experienced in product prototyping: experiment design, test bench setup, testing, and data analysis
• Experienced in system troubleshooting
• Good communication and collaboration, comfortable in working with multidisciplinary team and different functions
• Good perseverance
• Capable of using common programming language for data analysis such as Phython/Matlab/C is a plus
