About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Analyst to provide specialised management and technical support for departmental IT systems, particularly the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
This role will support pathology informatics initiatives and leverage data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and system optimisation within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities (80%)
Lead pathology informatics initiatives such as predictive modelling and data structure optimisation
Review and recommend enhancements to optimise LIS functionality
Monitor, maintain and support LIS applications
Manage Project Change Requests (PCRs) and Operational Service Requests (OSRs), including review, testing and coordination
Secondary Responsibilities (20%)
Support laboratory accreditation compliance related to LIS
Assist with system administration and compliance requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Degree in Biomedical Science or related disciplines with at least 4 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and troubleshooting
Understanding of laboratory operations and workflows
Relevant clinical laboratory experience is advantageous
Good knowledge of data analysis and LAN environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC troubleshooting
Programming skills (e.g. Access, Visual Basic, Python) are advantageous
