Role Summary
The System Analyst will support the analysis, design and implementation of workflow-driven enterprise systems of the client, including document and content management platforms (e.g., OpenText). This is a techno-functional role requiring strong workflow understanding, technical aptitude and the ability to collaborate across business and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Analysis
- Gather, analyze and document business and system requirements
- Translate requirements into functional specifications, workflows and system designs
- Perform impact analysis and support solution definition
Workflow & Process Management
- Analyze and design end-to-end workflows and approval processes (e.g., maker-checker, document lifecycle)
- Ensure workflows align with business needs, operational efficiency and compliance standards
- Ensure application solutioning aligns with defined application technical and functional design principles
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
Techno-Functional Coordination
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams
- Work closely with developers and architects to ensure accurate implementation
- Support integration discussions and data flow analysis
Testing & Implementation
- Review test cases and scenarios and support SIT/UAT execution
- Coordinate defect resolution and ensure quality delivery
- Support deployment, release activities and post-implementation validation
Support & Maintenance
- Assist in troubleshooting system issues and support production environments
- Participate in incident and problem management activities
- Ensure proper documentation and knowledge management
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- 8-10+ years of experience as a System Analyst / Business Analyst (Techno-functional)
- Strong understanding of workflow-based systems and business processes
- Good technical knowledge of system integrations, APIs and data flows
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Good to Have
- Experience with OpenText or Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms
- Exposure to banking systems and regulatory environments
- Familiarity with Agile / Waterfall methodologies
