System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support database systems and server infrastructure.
• Monitor database and system performance, availability, and security to ensure stable operations.
• Perform database administration tasks including backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Windows/Linux servers, user access, permissions, and system configurations.
• Configure and maintain database high availability solutions such as clustering, mirroring, and replication.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation for critical systems and databases.
• Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams on database design, system integration, and deployment activities.
• Analyze and optimize database queries, indexes, and server resources to improve performance.
• Maintain SSIS/ETL processes and support SSRS reporting where required.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in Database Administration and System Administration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, or other enterprise database systems.
• Hands on experience with Windows Server or Linux administration.
• Experience in database backup, recovery, failover, clustering, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Good understanding of database security, system hardening, and access management.
• Experience in performance tuning, database optimization, and system monitoring.
• Familiar with SSRS, SSIS, and ETL processes.
• Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications in database or infrastructure technologies will be an added advantage.
