Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware, and third-party software (Windows and Linux).
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and performance optimization to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain file systems, storage, and backup/recovery solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues coordinate with vendors and stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Administer and maintain enterprise antivirus, endpoint protection, and system hardening policies, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Manage user identity and access controls across on-premises Active Directory, hybrid environments, and Azure Entra ID.
  • Maintain configuration management, documentation, and operational standards.
  • Implement and monitor disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
  • Automate system operations using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and logs using observability tools (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
  • Support cloud and virtualization platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, VMware).
  • Ensure system security, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness (e.g., Cybertrust Mark Essential, ISO 27001).
  • Conduct and support system security audits, including third-party risk assessments, regulatory/compliance audits, and internal IT security reviews.
  • Operate and manage SIEM systems, such as ManageEngine, with experience in Microsoft Sentinel preferred.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments using Tenable and assist in remediation planning and execution.
  • Manage and monitor Privileged Access Security (PAS) using Silverfort or similar identity protection platforms.
  • Oversee endpoint protection and threat response with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing IT operations.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, remediation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Project management experience with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, hybrid, or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with MAS outsourcing and IT risk management guidelines is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with system security audits, including third-party risk assessments, regulatory/compliance audits, and IT security operations.
  • Practical experience with the following tools and technologies is strongly preferred:
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (EDR/Endpoint Security)
  • ManageEngine (SIEM/SOC operations)
  • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM & Security Analytics)
  • Tenable (Vulnerability Assessment and Management)
  • Silverfort (Privileged Access Security and Identity Protection)
  • Active Directory (On-Prem, Hybrid Mode)
  • Azure Entra ID / Azure Active Directory (Cloud Identity & Access Management)
  • Experience in system hardening, security compliance, and audit preparation.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Splunk) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned systems and projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, Microsoft Entra Administrator, or Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) are advantageous.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in system administration, infrastructure engineering, or IT security operations.

  • Preferably Junior to Mid-Level Executives specializing in IT Infrastructure, System/Network/Database Administration, or equivalent.
