Syndication Manager (Corporate Banking)

My client, a fast-growing Asian bank, is currently looking for a Syndication Manager (Corporate Banking) to join their Singapore office.
Your new role
Your new role will be to support the origination of new financing opportunities by:
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with potential clients
- Conducting market research and analysis of industry trends
- Review and provide support for extending loans to various industrial sectors by conducting due diligence and preparing credit applications for the internal credit committee
- Manage all aspects of execution, from loan documentation, drawdown to monitoring
Arrange syndicated loans and execute necessary procedures, including:
- Liaising with relevant parties for the preparation of financing documents
- Negotiating terms with borrowers and coordinating financing with other banks
- Arranging relevant services for the execution, management, and monitoring of financing
Oversee and manage the loan portfolio throughout the lifespan of the transactions including:
- Managing various requests from borrowers (e.g., amendments, waivers) as needed
- Performing credit reviews on executed deals
Manage Fund Investments by:
- Conducting comprehensive due diligence on new fund proposals, including investment strategy, structure, track record, fund terms and structures from an LP perspective
- Reviewing and monitoring performance of previously approved fund investments
- Ensuring compliance with internal investment guidelines and regulatory requirements
Provide support and coordinate with team members for liquidity and portfolio management, including:
- Assisting the treasury team in planning the supply and demand of the bank's funds
- Actively contributing to planning of the bank's business operations and strategies
- Contribute to enhancement of credit-related policies, guidelines and practices where necessary
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- 5-7 years of relevant working experience in investment banking, including corporate financing, project financing or structured financing
- Relevant experience in fund investment preferred
- Strong understanding of financials and financial analysis skills
- Professional certifications such as CFA/CPA/ACCA/ACA/CAIA etc. preferred
- Understanding of market practices in syndicated loan operations and PE investments
- Solid understanding of the functional aspects of credit lending, risk assessment, syndicated financing, debt restructuring, PE investments and familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines
- Ability to use relevant tools and analytical methods necessary to perform tasks effectively
