Job Description & Requirements

At Inspire Mum & Baby, swimming is more than a skill - it builds water safety, confidence, and lifelong joy. We are seeking an experienced Swim Coach & Operations Planning Specialist to join our team.

This role combines hands-on swim coaching with operations and class planning responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching children and confident in managing the flow of a busy swim school.

Key Responsibilities

Swim Coaching

• Conduct engaging and structured swim classes for babies, toddlers, and young children.
• Apply proven teaching methods that build water confidence, safety, and progressive skills.
• Provide assessments, progress feedback, and guidance to parents.
• Mentor junior coaches where needed.

Operations & Planning

• Oversee class scheduling, student placements, and pool usage planning.
• Manage daily centre operations, ensuring smooth coordination between classes, staff, and facilities.
• Maintain student records, registrations, and certifications accurately.
• Liaise with parents on class planning and operational matters.

Safety & Facility Oversight

• Ensure all classes follow health and safety standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within the pool and surrounding areas.

Candidate Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in swim coaching (babies, toddlers, or young children preferred).

Certification: Recognised swim teaching qualification (STA or SwimSafer). Additional child development or sports-related certifications are an advantage.

Operations Skills: Strong organisational ability, capable of managing class schedules, planning resources, and handling parent communications.

Personal Qualities:
Energetic, fun-loving, and child-centred in teaching approach.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Responsible, reliable, and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Availability: Must be available on weekends.

Leadership Edge: Ability to take initiative and contribute to centre-wide planning and improvements.
