Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
Responsibilities
- Support Group IBG Head in formulating strategy in the business management process, including defining business models, refining business strategies, and ensuring alignment with an evolving business landscape
- Perform market research including macro trend assessment, market scoping and competitor analysis
- Collaborate with IBG leadership to develop strategy content by engaging business, country, Global Industry, segment and product heads. This role may also involve cross-functional collaboration beyond IBG.
- Partner with business leaders to conduct periodic strategy reviews, budgeting/ forecasting, assess market shifts, evaluate opportunities, and deliberate on strategic choices and trade-offs.
- Organise and drive IBG-wide initiatives together with relevant Business Unit and Support Unit partners
- Lead in the business performance measurement of IBG through the Scorecard exercise
- Support IBG's strategic communications across external forums (clients, media, analysts, interested parties, etc) and internal audiences including internal Bank & IBG staff
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant work experience demonstrating strategic thinking and adaptability, with knowledge of corporate banking coverage & products being advantageous
- Strong analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to filter through complex information. Creative and adept at research
- Highly committed to delivering excellence, demonstrating resilience, practicality, and adaptability to achieve results. Comfortable working with diverse teams and bridging gaps to drive execution.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and effective influencing and communication abilities, capable of linking strategy, product, and changes to potential business impact.
- Ability to work autonomously while fostering positive collaboration within a dynamic team environment.
- Highly proficient in Powerpoint and Excel
