We are seeking a Senior Individual Contributor (SVP/Director) to act as a Credit Approver at the forefront of business strategy, decisioning, and deal management. The role offers direct exposure to senior stakeholders and a wide range of sectors, positioning you as a key gatekeeper for risk and returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Decisioning: Exercise independent approval authority on complex wholesale/corporate credit proposals, assessing sector dynamics, counterparty risk, structures, and exposures.
- Strategic Risk Oversight: Provide challenge and guidance to front-office teams; ensure alignment with risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and portfolio objectives.
- Portfolio Stewardship: Monitor concentrations, early warning indicators, and remedial strategies; contribute to portfolio reviews and risk policy enhancements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business heads, risk, finance, and product teams to enable sound growth while safeguarding asset quality.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent; advanced credentials a plus.
- 1520 years experience in Credit Risk Structuring and/or Credit Approval within wholesale/corporate banking; structured financing exposure advantageous.
- Proven judgment balancing commercial outcomes with disciplined risk management and macro/sector insight.
- Strong influence and communication skills; comfortable challenging constructively as a senior individual contributor.
