Job Description
The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
The Credit Analyst has a key role to perform credit, business and financial analysis, and structuring for Banks and Non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs).
Key Responsibilities
- To prepare credit applications, proposals and conduct annual reviews for Banks and Non-bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) counterparties.
- Be responsible for managing the credit risks associated with the banks and NBFI counterparties under their coverage portfolio.
- Evaluate the overall credit worthiness of the counterparty and the ability to meet credit obligations for traditional credit-based products as well as a variety of structured banking transactions, traded products and underwriting activities.
- Review proposed credit limits and transaction against credit standards and monitor credit exposure to ensure adherence to the banks credit appetite and policies.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in independently conducting credit and financial analysis for institutional clients (additional experience in FI will be an advantage) preferably with a banks, NBFIs or credit rating agency.
- Ability to work independently and as a team to deliver outcome of consistent good quality within stipulated timeline in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
