Job Description

A well established public services organisation is looking for a SVP, Corporate Communications.

Your new company

The Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications is responsible for leading the organisation's communications strategy across a diverse portfolio of businesses and stakeholders. This role shapes and safeguards corporate reputation, drives integrated communications efforts, and strengthens public trust in line with the organisation's social mission and business objectives.
The SVP will oversee corporate communications, media relations, digital communications, internal communications, and crisis management, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across all entities within the group.

Your new role

  • Lead communications strategy aligned with organisational purpose and business priorities
  • Manage corporate reputation and brand, ensuring consistent positioning across entities
  • Oversee media relations and public messaging, including thought leadership and key announcements
  • Direct crisis communications and issues management, advising leadership on sensitive matters
  • Drive internal communications and employee engagement across the organisation
  • Guide digital and content strategy to enhance stakeholder reach and engagement
  • Manage key external stakeholders, including government, partners, and media
  • Lead and develop the communications team while coordinating across business units

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or related fields
  • Proven track record in a large, complex organisation (e.g. conglomerate, public sector, or government-linked entity)
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder environments, including government and public interest considerations
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis communications and reputation management
