About The Role
As a CBRE Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and execu ti on of sustainability programs. This posi ti on is integral to the Sustainability func ti on, focusing on the implementa ti on of environmental and social sustainability ini ti a ti ves.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies to meet client objec ti ves and minimize environmental impact
- Monitoring and assessing the energy, water, waste and recycling performance across all facilities
- Propose improvement or rectification strategies to meet agreed-upon sustainability targets
- Coordinate and supervise the team's daily ac ti vi ti es, ensuring alignment with departmental goals
- Apply knowledge of sustainability best prac ti ces to integrate with global pla tf orms and achieve team objec ti ves
- Iden ti fy, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues within exis ti ng systems and processes
- Lead the team in enhancing the quality, efficiency, and effec ti veness of sustainability ini ti a ti ves
- Communicate and exchange complex informa ti on, set performance expecta ti ons, and manage sensi ti ve issues
- Influence stakeholders with shared interests to reach consensus and drive sustainability goals
- Collaborate with facility managers to provide expert sustainability advice and support
- Monitor and evaluate the effec ti veness of sustainability programs, iden ti fying opportuni ti es for improvement
- Develop and present sustainability status and variance reports to clients
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (ideally in Engineering) with 3-5 years of relevant experience in sustainability or a related field
- Certified as a Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) by National Environment Agency
- Experience in coordina ti ng and supervising team ac ti vi ti es, with a focus on achieving departmental objec ti ves
- Strong problem-solving skills to iden ti fy and resolve moderately complex issues
- Ability to communicate complex informa ti on effec ti vely and manage sensi ti ve situa ti ons
- Proven ability to influence and build consensus among stakeholders with shared interests
- In-depth knowledge of sustainability best prac ti ces and industry standards
- Proficiency in Microso ft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organiza ti onal skills and an inquisi ti ve mindset to drive con ti nuous improvement in sustainability ini ti a ti ves
