WHO WE ARE
Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) – formerly known as Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore) is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Singapore. Embracing a transformative vision, SFC aspires to become a Vibrant Asian Hub for Responsible Fashion.
With a focus on four key pillars: Sustainability, Innovation & Technology, Asian Craftsmanship and Retail, SFC works closely with diverse partners across the value chain to offer thought leadership, extensive networks, and resources – to drive impactful change throughout the ecosystem.
SFC also manages Design Orchard Retail Showcase (DORS) and The Cocoon Space (TCS):
DORS, located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally-based designer brands in Singapore.
TCS, offers creative co-working and event space housed on level 2 and rooftop of Design Orchard.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Sustainability (Project Management) Intern to support our ongoing sustainability initiatives, framework development and industry outreach programmes. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in research, stakeholder engagement, and project execution across sustainability initaitves Be The Change Summit, Sectoral Playbook and SRI.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Insights Analysis
- Conduct secondary research, benchmarking, and trend analysis to support key initiatives including BTC, the Sectoral Playbook, and SRI.
- Synthesise sustainability data and insights into clear, actionable reports and summary briefs.
Content and Strategy Support
- Assist in developing compelling visual and written content, including presentation decks, policy briefs, toolkit materials, and programme collaterals.
- Draft updates and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement and Programme Coordination
- Support outreach to key industry partners, stakeholders, and community networks.
- Assist in planning, logistics, and facilitation for meetings, workshops, focus group discussions, and industry events.
- Track project milestones, maintain documentation, and support overall programme administration.
- Assist with on-site programme execution and event operations as required.
- Support ad-hoc sustainability initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Who We're Looking For:
- Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Strategy, Management, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Env Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to conduct research and write clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management skills; capable of prioritizing tasks and handling multiple project streams simultaneously
- Confident in stakeholder engagement and comfortable collaborating across team functions and external partners.
- Interest in driving sustainable transformation, circularity, fashion, or broader industry development.
- Strong technology background (e.g., proficiency/interest in digital tools e.g Lovable, Notion, data management, environmental engineering systems, or tech-enabled project management tools).
