About the Company
NousQ (www.nousQ.com) is a Singapore medtech startup founded in 2021. NousQ is the inventor of CLiKX®, the world's first handheld robotic device with sensors to treat Otitis Media with Effusion (OME or glue ears). CLiKX® has recently obtained HSA (Singapore) and TGA (Australia) in April and May 2026 respectively. OME is the foremost reason why children visit a doctor. It affects the hearing of millions of children worldwide annually. When conservative treatments do not work, surgery is required to place a tiny ventilation tube to drain the fluid from the middle ear. Given the invasive nature of the current surgery, an operating theatre, general anaesthesia and an expensive large non-portable surgical microscope is needed. Currently an estimated 120 million OME surgeries are required every year globally but only 18 million surgeries are done. This is due to the lack of healthcare infrastructure, poor ENT patient ratios, anaesthetists, concerns about the neurological effects of GA on young children.
With CLiKX®, we are able to move the surgery out of the operating theatre into the clinic using local anaesthesia and without the need of the microscope. Currently, the surgery requires multiple different micro-instruments, general anesthesia (GA), operating theatre set-up, up to 3 days of hospitalisation, and an expensive and bulky surgical microscope. CLiKX® aims to do without general anaesthesia and without the surgical microscope – thus moving the surgery out of the operating theatre. This reduces payor cost, manpower needs, GA risk, waiting list, and poor take up. The surgeon remains in full control and does the usual slit incision on the ear drum and inserts a proven commercially available grommet tube. However, the procedure is now simplified, quick, replicable and more precise. This avoids long term complications of hearing loss, infection, speech and learning delay and ruptured ear drums.
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded Product Specialist to join a close-knot team to drive sales of CLiKX®, help manage channel partnerships, and assist in new business initiatives across government hospitals, private healthcare institutions, and specialist clinics in primarily in Singapore. Beyond quota attainment, this role is expected to identify and build new revenue streams — through new accounts, new market segments, and strategic partnerships — making business development an equal pillar alongside sales execution.
