A global high-technology manufacturing organization is looking for a senior Strategic Sourcing & NPD Program Manager to lead supply chain execution for complex new product development programs.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and project management, and plays a critical role in ensuring new products are successfully industrialized through external manufacturing partners.

You will oversee end-to-end supply chain readiness, from early design engagement through product launch and production ramp-up, while driving structured project governance across multiple concurrent programs.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Contract Manufacturing Management

  • Act as the primary interface with external manufacturing partners and strategic suppliers

  • Align suppliers on technical requirements, capacity planning, prototyping schedules, and delivery commitments

  • Drive issue resolution related to manufacturability, yield, quality, and production constraints

Design & Manufacturing Alignment

  • Partner closely with engineering teams to support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives

  • Identify manufacturing risks early and influence design decisions to enable scalable and cost-effective production

  • Support smooth transition from prototype builds to volume production

New Product Introduction (NPI) Execution

  • Lead supply chain activities across NPI phases, including risk assessments, mitigation planning, and ramp-up readiness

  • Ensure seamless integration of new products into the global supply chain network

Risk, Quality & Performance Management

  • Proactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect timelines, cost, and quality

  • Ensure suppliers meet defined quality standards across incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections

  • Establish KPIs and provide structured progress updates to senior management

Program & Governance Leadership

  • Drive project management discipline across supply chain programs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies

  • Maintain full visibility of program status, resources, risks, and interdependencies

  • Promote standardized governance, change management, and continuous improvement practices within the global supply chain organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
  • PMP certification is mandatory
  • 8+ years of experience across manufacturing-related functions (operations, quality, sourcing, planning, or engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience managing NPD or R&D programs within a PMO or structured project environment
  • Strong hands-on experience working with external / contract manufacturers
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional, technically complex projects from concept through launch
  • Experience within semiconductor capital equipment, precision machinery, or advanced industrial systems is highly preferred
  • Proficient with modern project management and collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, , Salesforce, or similar)
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel within Asia as required
