Key Responsibilities
1. Material Planning
- Develop and implement effective material planning strategies to ensure sufficient and timely availability of raw materials for SEA operations.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to forecast market demand across Southeast Asian countries and set appropriate inventory targets.
- Monitor inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstock risks.
2. Regional Logistics (Southeast Asia)
- Manage and optimize end-to-end logistics operations within the SEA region, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods between countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
- Coordinate with regional freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL partners to ensure smooth cross-border transportation.
- Stay updated on SEA logistics trends, infrastructure, and transportation regulations.
3. Localized Procurement
- Lead the procurement activities across Southeast Asia, executing local sourcing strategies to support business needs.
- Identify and onboard qualified local suppliers, building strong partnerships to ensure competitive pricing, stable supply, and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts and conduct quarterly supplier business reviews.
4. Supplier Management
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers within the SEA region.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address issues regarding quality, lead time, cost, and service.
- Work directly with suppliers to support continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Multilingual Proficiency
- Utilize strong communication skills in Chinese and English to effectively collaborate with internal teams, regional partners, and suppliers across SEA.
- Ability to communicate in a third SEA language (preferred but not required).
6. Logistics & Warehouse Management (SEA Focus)
- Demonstrate solid understanding of logistics and warehouse operations in SEA markets, including 3PL management, bonded warehouses, last-mile delivery practices, and local distribution models.
- Ensure compliance with regional HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and warehouse management standards.
7. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to SEA import/export regulations, including requirements for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
- Collaborate with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to streamline clearance procedures, reduce delays, and maintain compliance.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in FMCG or food industry supply chain within Southeast Asia is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end supply chain operations in a multi-country regional environment.
- Experience coordinating regional procurement, logistics, and supplier development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Solid experience in supply chain management focusing on material planning, logistics, procurement, and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Familiarity with SEA logistics and warehouse practices.
- Knowledge of customs and trade compliance regulations within Southeast Asia.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced regional environment.
