Job Summary
Lead and manage purchasing, warehousing, and transportation operations to ensure timely customer delivery and satisfaction. Drive continuous improvements in quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness while overseeing supplier and logistics management.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct, and control purchasing, warehousing, and transportation functions to meet company objectives
- Lead and develop a team of officers and operational staff to execute daily purchasing and warehousing operations ensuring customer delivery schedules are met
- Manage customer audits and resolve complaints related to purchasing and logistics operations to maintain customer satisfaction
- Oversee MRP fulfillment, stock replenishment, purchasing, order management, supplier contracts, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Manage third-party logistics warehouse operations and coordinate with logistics suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Coordinate logistics equipment and facility maintenance and implement improvements to support operational effectiveness
- Identify, develop, and implement initiatives and programs to improve quality, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and process efficiency continuously
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Purchasing, Logistics, Materials Management, Procurement, International Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing and/or logistics within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO9000, IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proficiency in ERP software (MCframe) and experience implementing Kaizen practices (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with reliability and analytical rigor
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO9000, IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards
- Experience using ERP software (MCframe) and implementing Kaizen continuous improvement methods
