Job Description

Location: different Locations (Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia)

Contract Duration: 6 months, probably extension

Freelance Collaboration

Starting ASAP

Scope of the job:

  • Intervene on-site at supplier facilities when performance issues arise
  • Resolve operational and logistical blocking points
  • Restore on-time delivery (OTD) for critical part numbers
  • Stabilize supply and delivery flows
  • Coordinate recovery actions until normal performance is re-established
  • Act as the main operational contact with the supplier during the intervention

Phase 1 Diagnosis(Maximum 1-2 weeks)

The Supply Chain FSR shall deliver:

  1. A documented joint diagnostic report including root cause analysis, capacity assessment versus demand, backlog characterization, commitment reliability analysis, systemic blocking points, and customer impactrisk assessment.
  2. A structured portfolio of critical part numbers including prioritization criteria, Lines of Balance (LOB), and base line performance. An initial list of critical part numbers will be also provided by the Manufacturer Customer, a cross analysisis required. This list of critical part numbers must be updated as needed
  3. A validated Recovery Action Plan including actions, responsible owners, milestones, required resources, and recovery trajectory.

Acceptance Criteria: Formal validation by Manufacturer Customer and Supplier management.

Phase 2 RecoveryDeployment

The Supply Chain FSR shall:

  • Implement and monitor a joint governance structure (weekly reviews,KPIs, escalation process).
  • Establish measurable KPIs including OTD on critical part numbers, commitment adherence, production reliability, and delivery flow vs demand.
  • Ensure execution of the recovery plan and escalate when required.

Result Obligation Performance Restoration:

  • Restoration of OTD on the defined critical portfolio to the agreed target (e.g., 95%).
  • Elimination or stabilization of backlog on critical items.
  • Demonstrated commitment reliability over a minimum stabilization period.
  • Full visibility on short-term commitments (minimum 12-week rollinghorizon).

Phase 3 Stabilization and Exit

Before closing the mandate, the Supply Chain FSR shall deliver:

  • A formal Transition Plan (handover to SPM, residual risks, governance model).
  • Integration of medium- and long-term actionsinto the continuous improvement roadmap.
  • A formal Return on Experience (RETEX) report including root causes and structural recommendations. Exit Criteria: Stabilized KPI performance, formal management acceptance, delivery of all reports.

Governance and Reporting Obligations

The Supply Chain shall provide weekly written progress reports including KPI dashboards and risk assessment, escalate critical risks immediately, maintain full transparency toward stakeholders, and coordinate Manufacturer Customer sites within scope.

Required Competencies

The Supply Chain FSR must demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in industrial crisis recovery and supplier performance restoration, desiderable a minimum of 10 years
  • Strong expertise in supply chain diagnostics and recovery management
  • Mastery of Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies
  • Ability to operate autonomously in international environments
  • Executive-level communication capability
  • High mobility and availability
