Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the team by developing strategies to continuously improve service quality and transit time performance
- Collaborate with management to support new and existing customers
- Maintain and oversee ISO 9001 documentation and ensure compliance
- Train, mentor, and enhance team competency and productivity
- Manage vendor relationships with contractors, hauliers, transporters, and other logistics partners
- Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and coordinate vessel bookings
- Prepare and verify complete export shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, insurance policies, bank drafts, etc.) for accuracy and legal compliance
- Manage processes and documentation for Letter of Credit (L/C) shipments
- Work with customers to develop efficient, tailored logistics solutions
- Ensure all customs declarations comply with Singapore and international regulations (e.g., Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Middle East, Bangladesh)
- Supervise daily forwarding operations and transactions
- Coordinate with quality assurance and relevant authorities for inspections
- Prepare, manage, and analyze sales contracts, forecasts, and performance reports
- Plan, track, and oversee shipment activities to ensure timely execution
- Issue sales contracts and work orders
- Negotiate extensions of free time with shipping lines when required
- Verify and validate invoices related to warehousing, loading, and production packing charges
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and export controls for international transactions
- Monitor key KPIs to identify areas for process improvement and cost control in freight and logistics
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, including managing teams
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, export documentation, Letter of Credit (L/C) processes, and customs regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
