Job Description

Work Location: Johor (Daily Travel to JB Office Required or To Be Based in JB)

Overview
A leading multinational electronics manufacturer is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Director to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for its JB office. This role oversees materials management, procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain compliance. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, cost optimisation, and supply chain strategy across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all day-to-day Supply Chain Management functions, including purchasing, materials management, planning, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, and compliance.
  • Provide strategic direction, coaching, and operational leadership to supply chain teams, ensuring effective execution of site and corporate initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and optimise materials flow to support operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with operations, finance, engineering, customer teams, and other sites to support demand, supply commitments, non-performing inventory activities, and process improvements.
  • Lead inventory management performance to achieve targets.
  • Oversee both strategic and tactical supply chain initiatives including process improvement, continuous improvement, and long-term materials strategies.
  • Manage supply chain KPIs, develop performance targets, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Partner with HR to support hiring, training, development, and retention of supply chain talent.
  • Build and lead a strong, capable, and sustainable supply chain team across all functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15 years of experience in supply chain, materials, or operations functions within manufacturing environments.
  • At least 8 years in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading materials management, procurement, warehousing, logistics, and planning activities at a senior level.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, ERP systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to drive teams toward operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Must be able to travel daily to the Johor Bahru office or be based in Johor full-time.
