Job Position Purpose / Summary

Based in the APMEA HQ in Singapore, reporting into the Supply Chain and Customer Service Director of International, and being a key member of the APMEA reginal Supply Chain and Customer Service team, the position will:

  • Drive consistent supply of product and delivery of differentiated world class service to the customers at optimal cost
  • Act as key business partner to Commercial managers and external distributors in the region

All customers and franchises in Central Asia incl. South East Asia, Korea and Greater China

Job Position Accountabilities/Expectations

  • Establish, drive and lead effective product demand forecasting process and practices across the various channels and geographies of the Central Asia region
  • Maintain demand and supply plan to accurately represent and support future customer demand over the next 12 - 24 months with specific focus on the net 3 to 6 months. Analyse and ensure alignment with financial budget. Effectively communicate to the APMEA region, and Global Planning/Supply Chain/Manufacturing.
  • Engage with all major distributors and key accounts in the region to understand and guide forecasting, inventory planning and ordering practices. Organise and lead monthly S&OP (demand and supply review) forward planning meetings and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robust Forecast Accuracy metrics are in place, working with Global Supply Chain and aligned with and contributing to regional S&OP metrics (% abs forecast error at 2 months lag). Measure, analyse and communicate progress for Central Asia and by distributor.
  • Drive consistent supply of product and delivery of differentiated world class service to the customers working with US and APMEA regional Supply Chain, US customer service, vendors and 3PL/4PL partners closely monitoring fulfilment execution.
  • Ensure robust Service metrics are in place, working with Global Supply Chain and aligned with and contributing to regional S&OP metrics (Customer Back Orders $ and On Time in Full %). Measure, analyse and communicate progress for Central Asia and by distributor.
  • Identify gaps in supply and actively work on addressing with Global and regional Supply Chain and/or communicating to the commercial teams and mitigating the risks.
  • Be first point of contact for commercial and account managers in solving day to day demand and/or supply issues.
  • Actively work and assist to address and resolve cross functional issues adversely affecting supply to the Central Asian customers (master data, registrations, payment terms etc.)
  • Optimize cost through avoiding and minimizing excess and obsolescence, and product write-off across the full supply chain, applying APICS approaches and using planning systems and tools.
  • Identify and implement cost effective solutions in delivering world class service.
  • Have in depth operational knowledge and be able to work independently with Avanos's ERP and other planning systems and tools (SAP S4 Hana, DSX etc.)
  • Support and lead supply chain projects and new supply chain setup implementation and operation in Central Asia, e.g. direct go-to-market etc. as assigned.
  • Act as a key member and contributor to the APMEA reginal Supply Chain and Customer Service team.
  • Represent Supply Chain and Customer Service for Central Asia in commercial management meetings and regional and global supply chain forums and activities.

Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required

Essential: Mandatory to ensure the job is done effectively and efficiently

  • 3 to 5 years experience in Supply Chain
  • Relevant university degree
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP and Advanced Planning systems
  • Strong analytical skills to manage large quantities of quantitative data
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Customer focus
  • Experience in managing supply chain and customer service coordination in a regional environment, with numerous markets and distributors
  • English and mandarin language proficiency
  • General awareness about Pharma / Medical Devices supply chain, Quality & GDP standards.
