- Lead immediate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for defects identified during incoming inspection or production.
- Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and close defect cases.
- Drive internal corrective actions and ensure timely disposition of defects.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the supplier base to achieve quality goals.
- Conduct supplier assessments and audits according to established audit plans.
- Guide and support new suppliers to meet required quality standards.
- Prepare and present quality performance materials for management and supplier meetings.
- Conduct vendor quality performance reviews.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) decisions and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Monitor and achieve inspection performance metrics such as defect rates, inspection backlog, and corrective action targets.
- Ensure departmental compliance with ISO9001 quality management systems and safety/5S standards.
- Oversee the planning and execution of inspection schedules to meet production timelines.
- Manage safety reporting within the department.
