Role Description

Support supplier performance, sourcing, and procurement decisions to ensure reliable quality, cost, and delivery. Supplier Quality Engineers assess supplier capabilities, investigate defects, coordinate audits, and verify corrective actions. Commodity Buyers develop sourcing plans for assigned categories, evaluate suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and manage supply risks. Procurement Analysts review spending, pricing, purchasing trends, and supplier performance to identify savings and process improvements. Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and suppliers to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field appropriate to the role, or equivalent relevant experience.
Previous experience in supplier quality, purchasing, sourcing, or procurement analysis.
For Supplier Quality Engineer roles, knowledge of technical specifications, quality tools, root cause analysis, supplier audits, and corrective action processes.
For Commodity Buyer roles, experience in category sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and purchase agreement management.
For Procurement Analyst roles, strong spreadsheet skills and experience analyzing spend, costs, and supplier performance.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning or procurement systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data and documentation accuracy.
Clear communication skills and ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Understanding of supply risks, supplier performance measures, and total cost considerations.
Relevant quality, purchasing, or supply chain certification is an advantage.
