Job Description

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food quality standards, and supervising service staff to deliver a smooth dining experience. The role supports the Restaurant Manager in achieving operational efficiency, sales targets, and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Supervise daily front-of-house and service operations.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff.

  • Monitor service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in opening and closing of the restaurant.

2. Staff Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and guide service staff and junior team members.

  • Prepare staff duty rosters and manage manpower deployment.

  • Ensure staff follow company SOPs and service procedures.

  • Conduct basic performance monitoring and provide feedback.

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure guests receive prompt and professional service.

  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback.

  • Maintain a welcoming and positive dining environment.

4. Inventory & Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies.

  • Assist in stock ordering and inventory checks.

  • Minimise wastage and ensure proper storage procedures.

5. Compliance & Hygiene

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

  • Follow local regulatory requirements (e.g. SFA food safety guidelines).

  • Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas.

6. Sales & Performance

  • Support the team in achieving sales targets.

  • Upsell menu items and promotions.

  • Monitor daily sales performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in F&B or hospitality industry

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to work shift hours, weekends, and public holidays

  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and service standards
