The Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hairdressing/barber shop, ensuring high-quality customer service, smooth workflow, and compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing schedules, supporting sales targets, and maintaining a clean, safe, and professional shop environment.
Operations & Customer Service
Oversee daily shop operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer feedback or complaints professionally
Maintain shop cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards at all times
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements
Staff Supervision & Management
Supervise hairstylists, barbers, and support staff
Prepare staff schedules, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing levels
Train and coach staff on service standards, customer service, and shop procedures
Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to management
Sales & Business Support
Support sales targets and promote services, packages, and retail products
Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and basic reporting
Assist with stock control, ordering of supplies, and inventory checks
Administrative Duties
Prepare daily or weekly reports as required
Coordinate with management on staffing needs, promotions, and operational issues
Assist with onboarding of new staff when required
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a hairdressing or barber shop environment
Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and shift hours
Familiarity with hygiene and safety standards in the grooming industry
