Job Description

  • Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication and installation work of steel and aluminum structures.
  • Review technical drawings and job specifications before work commencement.
  • Assign tasks to technicians and ensure proper manpower planning.
  • Monitor cutting, shaping, welding, and assembly processes to ensure alignment, structural strength, and finishing quality meet required standards.
  • Oversee repair, modification, and reinforcement works on vehicle canopies and boxes.
  • Conduct final inspection of completed jobs to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and workshop equipment.
  • Enforce workplace safety practices and maintain a clean, organized workshop environment.
  • Train and guide technicians to improve skills and productivity.
  • Report work progress, issues, and material requirements to management.
  • Assist management with scheduling, material planning, and job costing where required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication or vehicle body works.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.
